Presidential historian and noted author Douglas Brinkley will be the featured speaker at the University of Kentucky's 2024 Wendell H. Ford Public Policy Lecture at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 8 at the Singletary Center for the Arts. The lecture is hosted by UK's Martin School of Public Policy and Administration, and co-sponsored by UK Libraries and the College of Communication and Information.  It is free and open to the public. No registration required.

Join us for Mocktoberfest 2024! This annual event, hosted by the Office of Residence Life, POWER, and UK Invests, is a fun and engaging way for students to explore safer habits and approaches to alcohol consumption. Enjoy music from a DJ, giveaways, and delicious treats like hot dogs, turkey dogs, veggie dogs, kettle corn, and pretzels. Explore mocktails at various stations while connecting with campus resources, including UKPD, the Office of Student Conduct, UK Invests, VIP, and the Counseling Center. At the conclusion of the showcase, voting will open for the student body to vote for their chosen candidate. This distillery opened in 2012 and has become one of the favorites to visit. You will be in their Stillhouse barn and enjoy a taste test at our own pace. You will taste 5 of their bourbons and take home an engraved keepsake tasting glass. There are two different tastings at 1:00 and 1:30. We will assign which tasting you will be on when you arrive. We will be stopping for lunch on the way to the distillery in downtown Frankfort. This cost for lunch is included in the price. Register here.
